When it comes to deciding which tile to use in your home most people waver between choosing porcelain tile or a ceramic white tile. Certainly both have great qualities bringing beauty and charm into the space you are living in. Good quality tile adds an elegant tastefulness to a room as well as providing flooring that can stand up to more use than wood or carpet. This is why its so important to make sure youre choosing the right kind of tile. Everyone loves the clean bright look of white tile so its little wonder that people wonder if they should use ceramic or porcelain tile. A lot of DIY tile installers ask the difference between the two and the answer is surprising. Despite a superficial similarity differences abound between the two types of tile.
Simply start the drill in a vertical position and the sticky pad will ensure that the drill does not slip. Once you have finished drilling the tile simply peel off the sticky drive pad. Replace the diamond core with the appropriately sized masonry drill bit and set the drill to hammer mode. Use a slow speed for drilling into hard materials to ensure that the tip doesnt overheat. Ensure that the drill bit is frequently withdrawn in order to stop a build up of dust.
Porcelain comes in many shapes sizes and beautiful designs. All of these characteristics seem to make porcelain the clear choice when it comes to quality durability and easy of cleaning and maintenance. In reality the truth can be vastly different. The specifications regarding porcelain tiles are never verified or tested so any manufacturer can claim that their tiles are porcelain. Tile manufacturers can claim that they are manufacturing porcelain tiles without having them tested. In many cases tiles labeled as porcelain do not have the characteristics that make them quality tiles.
